Student Report - Mathieu Semenou - November 2002
Optical signal to noise ratio monitoring using a grating-based power monitor.
Student report, Research Center COM, Technical University of Denmark, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark.
Supervisors: Christophe Peucheret, Thomas Rasmussen.

It is therefore very important to be able to achieve OSNR monitoring inside a WDM network in order to detect a possible physical impairment. The project we carried out during 5 months at COM Center (System Group, Technical University of Denmark) was about monitoring the OSNR in a DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) system using a DWDM power monitor provided by the Ibsen Photonics Danish company.
